For antique lovers, George Street in Hastings has old books and bric-a-brac, and many exhibitions and museums nearby.
Other places to visit include Rye, Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, and the Kent and East Sussex Railway.
Shop 0.25 miles, pub 0.5 miles and restaurant 2 miles. Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property. We enjoyed our stay and the accommodation is central to alot of places to visit. Be aware that the place is over three floors with the bathroom, toilet and kitchen on the bottom and bedrooms, which get very hot in the sun on the top floor. Otherwise everything we needed for our stay with lovely views across the gardens and to the sea.

Very nice cottage, with excellent views. Although not an issue for myself and partner, the toilet is downstairs in the basement and owing to the two flights of stairs to the bed rooms, and one to the living room may prove to be problematic for older less mobile persons. Other than that exceedingly pleased with the cottage. Owners friendly and approachable.

Ideal location for east Sussex. The bathroom is a bit of a nuisance being 2 floors below bedrooms but apart from this very comfortable . Must admit this is the first property I have booked that doesn't supply any essentials like toilet roll, hand soap or washing up liquid . The garden is the booking feature for this property and that is absolutely amazing .
