Ivy Todd Barn is a fabulous converted barn with exposed beams.
Set in rural Essex on a livery, ideal for couples to use as a touring base with a small courtyard with stunning countryside views.
The high ceilings give the barn a great light and airy feel with ground floor open plan living area.
A downstairs double bedroom with exposed beams and en-suite shower room, there is also a shower room that leads off the dining area.
Upstairs a further bedroom with zip and link beds, a window into the barn next door and en-suite shower with exposed beams.
Above the kitchen area, a galleried level offering a day bed with trundle bed underneath. Nearby attractions include Saffron Walden, this medieval market town is rich in history where a market has been held since 1141, now held on a Tuesday and Saturday.
There are several garden and trails to follow.
Audley End House and Gardens is a great day out, where you can explore the mansion house, visit the glorious gardens or discover life as a Victorian servant.
Shop 5 miles, pub 1 mile and restaurant 2 miles. Free WiFi Ivy Todd Barn is perfect for couples and small families as a base to explore and relax.

Beautifully converted barn,in lovely peaceful countryside. Very helpful owners. Open ceiling to upstairs bedroom (not ideal.) Very posh Neff oven,but a tad confusing. As expected country 'odours',and can hear horses moving in adjoining barn during the night. Could disturb a light sleeper.

We spent 4 nights at this lovely converted barn as a family of 6. Beautifully done, very comfortable, 2.5 bathrooms, heating, internet etc. Friendly owners. Location is on a farm, horses next door, about 35ish min away from Cambridge. Town with grocery shops etc about 15 min away. Quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend for families (with a car).

A stunning property in a beautiful setting.Owners friendly and helpful all making for an excellent holiday (we were also blessed with the hottest September week on record).Well positioned for visiting many historic sites and enjoying the delightful Cambridgeshire/Essex countryside. A peaceful rural retreat with the gentle sounds of the horses stabled close by.Would happily revisit.
