A quaint former coach house, tucked down a quiet lane in the pretty South Gloucestershire village of Bitton, surrounded by lovely countryside and a short drive or bus journey from the fabulous historic cities of Bath or Bristol.
This detached cottage is a perfect base for couples looking for a place to relax after exploring beautiful rolling countryside and historic towns and villages.
Set over two floors, the cottage offers one attic double bedroom, while the bathroom is on the ground floor.
There is a well-equipped kitchen with dining area downstairs, along with a light, airy and spacious sitting room with comfy seating and patio doors to the shared courtyard.
Outside, you can sit on the small cobbled patio area, which is a real suntrap, on the edge of the courtyard, perfect to enjoy an early morning cup of tea, before taking a stroll down the adjacent lane past the pretty traditional church.
Bitton is situated on the edge of the southern tip of The Cotswolds AONB.
The whole area is steeped in great days out, being close to Bath and Bristol, and also the stunning Mendip Hills.
You are ideally placed to explore the beautiful romantic city of Bath, seven miles away, with its Georgian architecture and healing springs in the Roman Baths.
Why not enjoy a picnic in front of the sweeping Royal Crescent, relax in the rooftop Thermae Bath Spa, enjoy a fantastic selection of eateries, or perhaps sample the renowned Bath Bun? The area offers numerous outdoor activities, such as days at the horse or car racing and also boasts several National Trust Properties within a ten-mile radius, such as the seventeenth century mansion and deer park at Dyrham Park, the Prior Park Landscape Garden, set in a sweeping valley, and the elegant Bath Assembly rooms as well as acres of wide open spaces.

The Coach House is a cottage in Bitton, with a double bedroom in the attic space. Downstairs is a bathroom, a kitchen with dining area and the sitting room with patio doors. They lead to a small patio, on the edge of a shared courtyard. Parking for one car is provided, with additional parking available on the roadside. The Coach House is well placed for Bristol and Bath, as well as the Mendip Hills and numerous NT properties.

We had a great break at the Coach House it’s clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The owner is friendly and helpful and nearby if required. The milk and wine in fridge was very much appreciated
The cottage is in a lovely quiet village lane ideally placed for exploring.
We visited Cheddar Gorge, Bath and Longleat.
Excellent cottage highly recommended.

A homely cottage in a great location for visiting Bath, Wells, Bristol and the surrounding area. Comfortable lounge and very helpful host. The bedroom is well provided with storage space but the access to the bed is quite narrow and low ceilinged which might prove awkward for anyone with limited mobility. The Hollybush gastropub in the next village does excellent food.

We arrived to a pristine house; clean and spotless in all aspects. Communication with the owner prior to arrival was friendly and welcoming, and continued throughout our stay; a lovely landlady. Well furnished throughout, comfortable, it was great to relax after our days out, and so delightfully quiet.
I cannot recommend the Coach House highly enough. Indeed, we shall be returning next year.
