Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism.
Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats.
The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building.
The idea is being realised by the ‘Vacation in architectural monument’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.Persons: 4 personsRooms: 1 large room with 2 double beds (separated by the sanitary block)Season: all year roundShort holidays: noneAltitude: 508 metres above sea levelPets: allowed on requestPublic transport: by SBB to Murten station, then continue by train to Münchenwiler-Courgevaux (then approx. 16 minutes on foot) or by bus to Münchenwiler to the Münchenwiler village stop (approx. 10 minutes on foot).
