Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism.
Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats.
The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building.
The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.Parking: The public car park is about 50m from the house (next to the neighbouring house).
The car park is free and not covered. The road from Morschach to the hamlet of Tannen is narrow in places and at the end the road crosses the ‘Swiss Path’ hiking trail.
Luggage or shopping can be unloaded in front of the house.Public transport: You can travel to Morschach by public transport.
From there it is a 45-minute walk.Number of persons 6-8: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available.
The house can accommodate eight guests (plus baby).
There are two additional beds in two double rooms, one bed in each of the two single rooms and a sofa bed for two people.
The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers.
Garden: There is a seating area with furniture on the west side.
There are two deckchairs available.WLAN: AvailableOpen: The house can be rented from April to October.Pets: Pets are allowed.
Dogs must be kept on a lead in the canton of Schwyz.
We kindly ask you to observe this.Altitude: 800 metres above sea level.IMPORTANT ADDITIONThe Haus Tannen is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric.
The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care.
Although the technical equipment is modern, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger.
Particular reference should be made here to the floor in the dining room, which has been worn out for centuries, and the slope of the house.
The ceiling height in the parlour is only 1.88 m.
A steep wooden staircase also leads to the upper floor.
The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
The Vacation in architectural monument foundation and e-domizil decline any liability.Further information on the website of the Vacation in architectural monument foundation. 2243962
