The Chapel of Our Lady of Glória, situated in the center of the village, is a historical monument of the region; its first construction dates back to 1855. In the surrounding areas, you can also find traces of the Saí Phalanstery.

Vila da Glória Pier The Vila da Glória pier was built in 1988 to facilitate the boarding and disembarking of medium-sized vessels.
For this reason, it extends almost 300 meters, since the depth in this section is quite shallow.
From this spot, tourist boats and even a medical launch that connects to the hospital on São Francisco Island depart.
On the pier, it's common to see fishermen trying their luck for the day—maybe they've already caught the next meal! Casarão Waterfall The Casarão Waterfall at Casa Backmayer is a true natural spectacle, with its crystal-clear waters and the surrounding lush Atlantic Forest, providing a scene of rare beauty.

The fastest way is by the ferry-boat that departs from Joinville, near the airport.
Another option is by the Garuva road; the third option is via Itapoá; and finally, there is the ferry-boat leaving from the Island of São Francisco do Sul. All routes are smooth, and each one has its own special charm.
