4 anni in giro per gli Stati Uniti

Qualcuno dice che quando hai figli la vita termina, però essere mamma non deve significare privarsi in un viaggio pieno di avventure; chiedetelo a Morgan Brechler, una giovane madre che negli ultimi 4 anni ha viaggiato per gli Stati Uniti con sua figlia Hadlie, da quando cioè la bimba ha 3 mesi.

Connettare con la natura

Il suo obiettivo è ispirare e motivare altre famiglie affinché le nuove generazioni abbiano una connessione più profonda con la natura, qualcosa che lei come il suo marito Jared considerano basilare per i bambini. Per questo tutti i giorni dopo il lavoro escono a camminare per le montagne, scalano o navigano a bordo di kayak. Qualunque piano all’aria aperta è una buona idea, e i fine settimana ne approfittano per fare escursioni più lunghe. Insieme hanno visitato il Gran Canyon in Arizona, il Parco Nazionale Joshua Tree in California e la Costa Ovest a bordo del loro furgoncino Volkswagen, senza dimenticare i viaggi in Messico e alle Hawai.

Play with toy horses. Pretend we're horses. Watch horse movies. Visit the horses. Eat. Sleep (dream about horses.) Repeat.

Semplicità e divertimento

A differenza di molti bambini di oggi che giocano con tablet e telefonini, Hadlie vive ai margini della tecnologia. Il proposito di Morgan è che sua figlia valorizzi la bellezza delle cose semplici della vita e soprattutto la natura. Dice che le sembra molto più facile organizzare un piano coi bambini all’aria aperta che in un centro commerciale, dove tutto è più meccanico e superficiale.

Happy Friday! I want to get really real for a moment. I work hard, full time. I'm also currently a student; fitting that in, trying to keep up with my professor while I secretly do work emails during class. When I travel it's as a weekend warrior + a little more here and there when I can escape my work responsibilities. I'm not alone. Nor am I a single mother. I'm stoked to have a really rad adventure squad to journey with! Instagram is really pretty – but don't be mistaken; as much as I wish it were & some day it will be…my life is not all mountains, open air & climbing. Some people seem to forget that we all choose what we want to share on here. No one wants to share the boring, ugly or difficult things. As for most of the articles going around, I had no part in these – don't be tricked by titles (click bait). I'm not walking across America with Hadlie. That is a journey we will save for when we have a sweet van! The positive support I've gotten from you all for the way I raise H is overwhelming; I really appreciate all the new connections made and am so inspired by everyone who has reached out to me to share their journeys or to let me know that they now plan to get outside more with their children. I hope you all continue to find inspiration in that even if you're banging out the daily grinds of life – there is always time to find adventure & get outside. I make it happen. So can anybody else. Esperienze uniche

Per Morgan e Jared fare escursioni con la figlia rende tutto molto più speciale. Infatti Morgan ha creato un progetto insieme ad altre madri che condividono  la stessa visione della vita. Hanno tutte in comune di aver vissuto un’infanzia a contatto con la natura.

Morgan e Jared credono che le esperienze che offrono alla figlia daranno risultati molto buoni in un futuro. Entrambi credono che la chiave sia passare il minor tempo possibile in casa davanti alla televisione.
Grazie a tutte queste avventure hanno potuto creare un vincolo molto forte. La piccola si diverte scoprendo nuovi giochi seduta nel suo zaino in spalle alla mamma.
